Searching For Reality
Heaven’s Door Mix
This poem came into my head as I lay in my hospital bed, having twice been administered CPR and brought back to life. It was all very strange and surreal. I was struggling with reality and remember asking somebody, probably a nurse, if she was real or not. I had no idea who or where I was or who the people all around me were, I just wanted to go back to sleep and told them all to go away and leave me alone.
I wouldn’t say it changed my life, but my life has certainly changed since.
Make of it what you will.
Where Does the Wind Go
everything is transient, nothing is real
only a process, wave upon wave
nothing endures and everything flows
where does the wind go, after it blows
